Time well spent on the Beagle Channel

We were told to show up at 9 o’clock for a 930 tour. No reason to get there more than five minutes early if you are already booked and pre-paid as we were. Tour did not actually leave until 10. Viator, you need to change your Information on timing. Felt like we wasted an hour. Other than that, a very good experience. If you are a cruise ship passenger, you do not need to pay a Port tax. When they give you your boarding ticket, they may neglect to tell you, and instead send you to an office to pay the tax, so make sure to tell them. That said, the guys running the ship did an excellent job handling the boat and delivering clear, detailed, and interesting information about the wildlife and the indigenous people. Tour was nearly 4 hours which was plenty of time. We happened to get incredibly lucky with a picture perfect, calm, sunny day. Tea, coffee, and hot cocoa with cookies and a taste of a locally produced Liquor was a nice touch.

Excellent guide, very convivial and informative about birds and flora. Small boat, nice walk on a small island.

The experience is great but I believe in winter time it's better to take the morning tour departing at 9 am. The afternoon trip gets really cold and windy and the minitrekking happens almost in the dark. Hot beverages on board make things better!

We were so glad we went on this small, more personal tour than on the big catamaran. The smaller vessel meant fewer people crowding the rail to get a good view and photo angle, and it was able to get literally within arm's reach of the rocks and the wildlife. The staff were fabulous, the coffee/hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch, and the captain went out of his way to get the best views, and even to head over to a large group of petrels. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, local history and indigenous people. Bring warm clothes, hats, mitts and a good camera. We will definitely be back!

Please note, this tour leaves at 3:30 not 3:00, so it is only 3.5 hours, not 4. I was a bit disappointed in that. Otherwise, the tour guide was fantastic and we had a great time

É um passeio interessante, principalmente para crianças. É uma visita ao habitat natural dos bichos da Patagônia. Achei caro, mas valeu a pena. Uma baía bonita, apesar do frio e do vento
