Meet your guide in a central location and go through a short safety demonstration before you receive your bike. Strap on your helmet, jump on your comfortable beach cruiser and hit the road for your leisurely ride through some of Buenos Aires' most interesting neighborhoods.

Start with a cycle around San Telmo, known for its colonial architecture and Dorrego Square, the historic heart of the neighborhood. While there, scope out some spontaneous tango performances while observing typical neighborhood life in San Telmo's bars, restaurants, and cafes.

Pedal over to La Boca, a colorful neighborhood with a European atmosphere that has persevered since Italian immigrants first settled here decades ago. Stop to see local artists selling their work on the Caminito, the pedestrian-only street lined with colorful buildings.

Continue to Puerto Madero, the city's newest neighborhood whose old docks have been converted into trendy restaurants, lofts, and offices. Then, make for Buenos Aires Ecological Reserve, an 865-acre (350-hectare) natural space along the Rio de la Plata. Cruise through this serene oasis in one of the city's most bustling downtown areas, and follow your guide's lead in looking for swans and egrets.

Finally, ride over to Plaza de Mayo, the political center of Buenos Aires, and snap some photos of Casa Rosada, the Argentine president's pink-walled office.

After four hours of touring on your bike, accompanied by thoughtful commentary from your guide, you'll end up in Plaza San Martin.

Great way to get an intro to Buenos Aires
Dave_H
, Mar 2020
Ride was mostly along trails which felt safe and well planned. Our guide was engaged and had shared her knowledge and some history of Buenos Aires. A great way to start your visit to the city to get your bearings and learn some important info (like don’t visit Boca in the evenings). The ride through the preserve was dusty and “meh” as not much in the way of wildlife you can see.

It was dangerous. We were weaving in and out of very heavy rush hour traffic, and our bikes broke down along the way, although the guide was able to fix them up pretty quick. I'd still recommend this trip but I'd advise doing it during a time of day when the roads and sidewalks are less crowded.

Although the tour was quite interesting, it did have some major problems. First, the English-speaking guide did not speak loudly enough to be heard above the surrounding noises. Secondly, the bike route was quite dangerous at times between the traffic and construction.I would recommend the tour, but ONLY if the participants are comfortable riding on rough streets in a great deal of traffic.

Dear Ralph Thank you so much for sharing with us your experience on your tour. Remember that Buenos Aires is a big city where the street movement is part of its magic, the rush of the people and the traffic is part of our routine. Every day it becomes a more friendly city for bicycles and that makes us very happy. Added to that our guides are people specialized in handling groups, and they are aware of the security procedures that must be followed in this type of excursion. All our guides are certified. However, we take this feedback and forward it to the guide as an opportunity to improve our services. This tour shows our city from a pretty friendly perspective, we are pleased to know that you have enjoyed the beauties of Buenos Aires.

Great value. The 3 hour tour was relaxed and covered some of the main tourist spots plus the eco park which was a first for me. Great tour guide plus I was the only participant so went at my pace. Flat roads and no hills. A couple of difficult roads with unfriendly traffic. Bike are a simple fixed wheel city type bike with basket and comfortable padded seat. Helmet provided.

Highly recommended! We are two 70 year olds who have never biked in traffic so we were a little apprehensive about this trip but it was a highlight of our time in the city. A wonderful variety of stops and we learnt so much about the history of the south.

Bike ride gives you a very different perspective than a tour bus. We thoroughly enjoyed the bike ride tour. Much more verbal explanation of area and you can stop and explore, too. My husband and I were the only ones on the tour but the guide still took us everywhere on the tour. The ride was on level ground and very easy to do.
